Zeb and the Great RuckusZeb and the Great Ruckus by Joshua Donellan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Does the plot come across clearly? You know how no matter how old you are, watching Mary Poppins will make you smile? This book is like that. It's plot is simple and clear but teaches different readers different things. For the child reader it says - it is okay to be different. For the adult reader it says - don't give up on your passion.

Favourite scene? When Zeb describes the BlankTank - "kills your ability to feel happiness or anger or confusion …" Haven't we all been here before? The author has obviously led a more than interesting life, has a vivid imagination or both. Kudos on such a well-written book.

Favourite quote … "You can't sing a song into a jam jar and then lock it away in a cupboard." This book is an easy read with many to the point remarks like these. It definitely brings out the child in you and makes you ponder about your own creativity.

Disclosure - As a Quality Reads Book Club member, I received a free copy of this book from the author via Orangeberry Book Tours in exchange for my honest review.
