There is no such thing as good writing; only good rewriting. My high school teacher, Marylin Wenzel said it. She may have heard it from someone else.
What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life?
My children, who love life and try to do what’s good.

Medium-dark blue.

Ice cream. OK; enchiladas.

How has your upbringing influenced your writing?
I was taught to value time and spend it in worthwile pursuits, not in mindless entertainment. My writing follows this priority in being dense and practical.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
My interest in writing started when I was taking a difficult and poorly taught physics class at college. I wanted to find a better way to teach physics and share it with the world.
When and why did you begin writing?
I began writing as a way to organize my own thoughts and information I had learned about particular topics.
How long have you been writing?
Twenty years.
When did you first know you could be a writer?
In high school Advanced Composition. I hated writing until then.
