My rating: 4 of 5 stars
How realistic was the characterization? Not very realistic. Some parts dragged a little too much for my liking. The plot fell into place which was a good thing but the characters were not always part of it or so it seemed.
How does the setting figure into the book? The bar idea was good, just everything about the book was poor. Didn't bring anything to life.
What are some of the book's themes? Most of the book was about the kid's growing up, after their father died.
Did the book end the way you expected? It ended a lot like it started. Very descriptive.
