Who is your favorite author?
I love Diana Gabaldon. I’ve read and reread the Outlander Series several times.
What book genre of books do you adore?
I love a good mystery, one that has you guessing until the very last page who the culprit is.
What book should everybody read at least once?
Who Moved My Cheese? It’s a clever little book about mice and their cheese, but of course those are just metaphors for people and their goals. I found it very enlightening and motivational.
Are there any books you really don’t enjoy?
I’m not a big fan of political thrillers. I also find that I prefer female writers since their descriptions are usually more eloquent and emotionally charged rather than terse and action-driven.
What do you hope your obituary will day about you?
I hope that my obituary will mention that I was a free spirit who lived life on my own terms and never, ever gave up. Maybe there’ll also be something in there about me being a loyal and loving person.
Location and life experiences can really influence writing, tell us where you grew up and where you now live?
I was born in Russia, but grew up mostly in New York, and have lived in New Jersey for the past few years. I love travel, and I have traveled extensively through Europe and the Middle East. I try to incorporate my impressions and experiences into my writing.
When a young woman vanishes without a trace from a quaint fishing village on the coast of England, only one person knows the truth, but he remains silent allowing the authorities to search for her in vain.
Meanwhile, Valerie Crane finds herself transported to the year 1605. Terrified and confused, she turns for help to the Whitfield brothers, who take her in and offer her a home. Both Alexander and Finlay Whitfield fall in love with the mysterious woman, who shows up on their doorstep, creating a love triangle that threatens to consume them all. Valerie must make her choice, deciding between the brother who will lead her down the path of destruction, or one who will give her a love she couldn’t find in her own time.
