Concussion Is Brain InjuryConcussion Is Brain Injury by Shireen Jeejeebhoy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Did the book description relate to the story? In most ways it did, but in no way does it prepare you for the emotional journey you will take with this author. This isn't at all a bad thing and I really liked this book. It offers insight like no other.

How did you feel about the opening / ending sequences of the book? My most favourite section was "As the Head Flies, So the Neck Strains". This was the most educational and informative section for me. I think this a well-researched novel that definitely deserves more attention that it is getting. Each section provides accurate feelings, thoughts and ideas on how someone with brain injury feels.

Was this book worth reading? I don't think you need to have a brain injury to read this book. If you are a carer, friend or family member of someone who is facing brain injury this is a book you must have. It will help you understand the physical issues as well as the emotional ones.

Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy from the author which did not affect my honest opinion.
