Do you find the characters convincing? All characters are convincing. They are very realistic.

How would the book have been different if it had taken place in a different time or place? The contrast of Vegas and a small town, makes all the difference. In Vegas, everyone and everything fits in.

Make a list of facts you learned from the story The fire started in the tree house. The boa around Grace's neck caught fire from a candle. Marly was committed to a mental institution. Marly cuts herself. Grace was a healer. Grace's mother was a hoarder.

List the characters and describe them. Grace - 28 years old. Most of her body was burnt by the fire. Medical assistant. Marly - 28 years old. Tried to commit suicide, cuts herself. Grace's mother - obese woman that was a hoarder. Lied to her daughter about Marly. Adam - the doctor that Grace worked for. Gus - he took pictures of Grace and he had cancer. Drew - was in love with Marly. Beat up Marly and Grace.
