The Torturer's DaughterThe Torturer's Daughter by Zoe Cannon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Did the book description relate to the story? Yes it did. The author provided an accurate summary of what the book was about and it was enough to spark my interest to read the book.

How did you feel about the opening / ending sequences of the book? I liked the opening sequence. However, I felt that even when you get to the end there are quite a few crucial questions that are left unanswered.

Who was your favourite character and why? It would have to be Becca but her character would have been better with a less dialogue. There was so much talking and so little development in some sections.

What were the main relationships explored in this book? I would say personal relationships. Do you do because you are told? Or do you make your own choices? Becca realises this and tries to break free.

Was this book worth reading? Overall the book was fast-paced and the characters had a lot going for them. I will definitely recommend this book to others.

Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy from the author which did not affect my honest opinion.
