My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Did the book description relate to the story? Yes it did and I particularly liked the fact that the author stresses her background on why she is able to write such a book. It does make the reader wonder if there is more truth to this fiction book than meets the eye.
How did you feel about the opening / ending sequences of the book? I enjoyed the beginning very much. The characters were given a strong foundation and the readers had a good idea of what they are getting themselves into.
Who was your favourite character and why? I am going to choose Jessica. Her questions and life situation helps Father Souza more than she knows.
What were the main relationships explored in this book? Obviously, religion was explored. More specifically, readers were given an inside look into the Catholic church.
Was this book worth reading? It is definitely worth reading and even if it doesn't entertain you, it will enlighten you.
Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy from the author which did not affect my honest opinion.
